The best way to learn English Brenda García Ayala

Th e key is to make learning English fun through the right tools and habits. And one of the best tools was sitting right there all along, right inside your smartphone.

Things you like = learning process Listening to music Watch Netflix: Series Movies

Benefits Music: Learning English with songs is a great way to improve your pronunciation, increase your vocabulary as well as learn different slangs or phrases because songs almost always contain a lot of useful vocabulary, phrases and expressions. It works. There is considerable scientific evidence that demonstrates how music can help second language learners acquire grammar and vocabulary and improve spelling. Then there is the so-called “Mozart Effect”, the concept that listening to classic musical boosts the performance of mental tasks like learning.scientific evidenceMozart Effect

Get familiar with the sound of English. Listening to songs will also allow you to focus on your pronunciation and understanding of the English language’s rhythm, tone and beat. Many of the words and sound patterns within a song are repetitive and this makes it easier for them to stick in your mind. Songs are emotional. When something is emotional, then of course it is also easier to remember. Music gives you insight into English-speaking culture and how English-speaking people think and feel. Facility: you can take the music with you wherever you go. You can have English songs playing in the car, the kitchen and the shower. And by picking music you like, you can listen to the same material over and over again, without becoming bored.

Watching series or movies: One of the best ways to learn English is to get hooked on a quality TV series, especially one related to your lifestyle. Reading subtitles does help one’s listening skills. One is able to not only hear the words and phrases but also make the connection between how it’s said and how it’s written. After some time, the brain starts to associate the way things are pronounced and the individual words that actually make up the utterance. Predicting helps better understanding of the text, regardless of whether our predictions are right or wrong.

There’s nothing like getting addicted to a good series. You will soon forget that you’re doing it to improve your English and become genuinely interested in the storyline. This interest motivates you and propels you to watch one episode after another as the excitement builds. Before you know it, you’ll have had hundreds of hours of listening/reading practice, alongside being exposed to hundreds of grammatical structures.
