2 Accelerator Safety Summary Summary:  Accomplishments: –Previous Year’s Workshops –Position Paper – Defending the Order and Guide –Chicago “Lock-In” –Technical Papers –Draft Order (420.2C) –SLAC Workshop  Collaboration: Bringing together a group of people interested in working toward a common goal. SC-NNSA-HSS-GC  Goal: Ensure the Department’s Accelerator Safety Program and Accelerator Community have the necessary guidance to operate our facilities safely and efficiently

3 Path Forward  Workshop Outcomes –Break-out Group Reports Help define needed improvements Should represent the general consensus of the group Team building / communication  Challenges: –Complete Order revision and approval –Begin the process of reviewing and revising the Guide. –Continue using Workshops to improve our Program –Is the Accelerator Safety Program included in the Contractor Assurance System?
