Digital X-rays vs. Traditional X-ray Samantha Amey

Project Proposal My goal would be research and discuss the pros and cons of digital and traditional x-rays. How they effect the patient How they effect whom ever may be taking the x-ray Does one have more advantages then the other?

Why this topic? As I myself have had several X-rays over the years and have noticed the change from Traditional film to digital first hand.

Digital Film Digital Can be magnified Results are instant Can be viewed with any device with screen Film developed Cannot be magnified Can be viewed anywhere with light board VS. Film

Digital Less radiation exposure comfortable for patient Better for planet

Traditional Film 80% more radiation exposure Lower resolution 1 copy of image
