Climbing to Top Tier McNair Scholars Institute FAST Clinic CAPS Englestad Scholars Program Office of Veterans Affairs Community Policing Program

McNair Scholars Institute Launched in 1999, the Dr. Ronald E. McNair Scholars Institute is committed to diversifying the ranks of American faculty and research institutions by encouraging and preparing undergraduate students who are members of underrepresented groups to pursue doctoral studies. The program hosts a six-week summer internship where scholars are partnered with faculty mentors. 100% of the McNair first-year graduate students continued to be enrolled in graduate school.

UNLV FACULTY & STAFF TREATMENT CENTER Opened in 2012 The FAST Clinic has served almost 4,500 patient visits 97% of patients surveyed who came in with symptoms reported an improvement in their symptoms after receiving care in the FAST Center. 95% of patients surveyed reported that FAST Center services allowed them to miss less work and/or use less sick leave. 100% of patients surveyed reported that they would recommend the FAST Center to a colleague or friend.

UNLV COUNSELING & PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES Pre-Doctoral Internship Program Completed first cohort of interns in Received membership in APPIC, allowing UNLV to be competitive with other internships in the country. Received a $20,000 grant from American Psychological Association (APA) to achieve Accreditation (the first in Southern NV). Expanded training program to be inclusive of UNLV academic departments (clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy, and counseling education).

ENGLESTAD SCHOLARS PROGRAM 25 students comprise the seventh cohort of scholars to the program, propelling the program into reaching its goal of having 100 scholars each doing 100 hours of service in the community each academic year. A donation of over $12 million is provided by the Engelstad Family Foundation There are 24 Englestad Scholar graduates to date The average cumulative GPA is 3.59

1,606 active duty, reservist, National Guard members, veterans, and their dependents are enrolled this fall at UNLV The Veterans Administration has designated UNLV as a VetSuccess Top Ten Campus UNLV is a partner of the nationally recognized Peer Advisors for Veteran Education (PAVE) veteran peer-to-peer mentoring program UNLV is ranked in the Nation's Top 50 colleges for veterans using the GI Bill in the nation Source: Military Times 2015 UNLV is ranked as a Top 15% “Veteran-Friendly” University Source: GIJOBS.COM
