Lesson 5 √Report Terms Database Report Grouping Report Footer Report Header

Using a Report A report is a database object that display data from one or more tables or queries in a format that has an appearance similar to a printed report. The Report Wizard creates a simple report quickly.

Parts of a Report A Report Header shows up at the beginning of the report at the top. We have no Report Footer which would show up ONLY on the last page of the report. We also used a Page Header which shows up at the top of each page. We used a Page Footer, which shows up at the bottom of each page. We have a Group Header which contains the name of the grouping used. We could have a Group Footer which can contain totals or other information used in grouping used. The Detail section contains the records from our table.

Grouping Grouping organizes or categorizes the records by a particular field. In the example, they are grouped by Grade.
