Marc Chargall Biography By:Tatiana Allison

Bouqet Of Flowers Further to the presence of detail, if you look closely at the half-moon, you will notice the faint image of a couple holding hands over the moon. This would appear to tie into the traditional Chagall style of a fancy-free, child-like perception of life.

Three Candles Upon close inspection you will notice that Chagall has incorporated many of his trademark themes here, such as young love and religious icons, while mixing in his abstract style.

Violoniste Bleue As is common with many Chagall works, Violoniste Bleue features the protagonist floating against the night sky. This, coupled with his body posture and the birds flocking to him presents a very festive atmosphere. The town below lends images of a French market in the evening with wandering minstrels and plenty of good food.

Autoportrait The fact that Chagall chose to paint himself in the profile view speaks of his (low) self-esteem, as the profile shows less of his face. It also serves to give him an intense and passionate appearance, which certainly mimics his work.

Lovers And Flowers As is common with many Marc Chagall paintings, the image is presented in a somewhat abstract fashion, with a blurred and almost dreamlike perception of reality.

Lovers In Moonlight Notice the angel present near the two lovers. This conveys a certain holiness and sanctity for the concept of young and old love.

As you can see Marc Chargall did all types of different art he went from self portraits to autobiography. He also did different types of art like religious art and abstract art. Marc Chargall was a great artist who loved painting and did great work. As you can see Marc Chargall did all types of different art he went from self portraits to autobiography.
