Location Peru is located on the west side of South America. Peru is bordered by Ecuador and Colombia to the north, Brazil to the east, Bolivia to the southeast, Chile to the south, and The Pacific Ocean to the west. Peru is located in the southern hemisphere. The capital of Peru is Lima.

Would You Like To Visit Peru? I would love to visit Peru! The reason I would like to visit Peru is there are many interesting places. Such as: The Amazon, historical areas in Lima, the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, and Lake Titicaca.

Interesting Facts The world’s largest rainforest, the Amazon, covers nearly half of Peru. The Amazon is home to plants and animals that don’t live anywhere else on Earth. Some scientists also think there may even be Indian tribes that have never seen the outside world.

Independence Peru gained their independence from Spain on July 28 th, Peruvians celebrate Fiestas Patrias. This is a celebration of their independence.

Spanish Rule Peru became part of Spanish rule in about Pizarro attacked the Incas and Spanish rule was consolidated with execution of Atahualpa.
