Presentation transcript:

[Act 4] [Scene 1] “Mad as the sea and wind when both contend Which is the mightier…” The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark

STEP ONE - Read the first scene of Act 4! - Take note of any ideas or questions you think of! - POST-READ FREE-WRITE PROMPT: What are we to make of the fact that the scene contains four characters but only two of them have dialogue? What is the effect of having both garrulous and silent characters?

[LET’S DISCUSS!]

STEP TWO - Reread the section, paying attention to your assigned character! - Assume your character’s perspective and live-tweet the scene! - Use Twitter conventions: character max! - Numbers! - Abbreviations! - Hashtags!

STEP THREE - Form groups! - Everyone take a turn sharing their tweets! - Arrange the tweets in order so as to form a live-tweet stream!

STEP FOUR - Make a slideshow (Google Slides) for live tweet-stream! - One tweet per slide! - Consider creating Twitter handles and avatars! - Share with me via Drive!
