What is a Current Event? Summary of News articles or events through out the world, nation, state, or local areas When completing these current events you are expected to summarize the main ideas of the article Present the article as if no one has read or is aware of the article

Where can you find Current Events? TV news (CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, FOX news, or local news stations) Internet( Yahoo!, MSN, CNN.Com, Rutgers, BBC, NYTimes, or Local Newspapers online) Newspapers (Local or National such as NYTimes, Macon County News (it’s free!), The Franklin Press)

What is not considered a Current Event…. Sports Obituaries Movies TV shows Book Reviews/Summaries Weather Reports A copy of the article and no summary
