What is Adult Social Care? Provision of support to vulnerable people Responsibility of Local Authorities to provide social care services, some of which may come from independent providers Helping people lead the life they want

What are values and principles? Values are ….. – Beliefs or ideals – Values influence a person’s behavior and attitude – Serve as broad guidelines in all situations Principles are ….. – Rules or law which is to be followed – A code of conduct What are your own values and principles?

What are the values and principles of adult social care? Social Care aims to provide support to the individual Seeks to maintain independence and dignity Ensure the individual has choice and control
