How to connect two wires… Using a solder-type heat shrink connector

By the end of this lesson you will… Be able to connect two wires successfully, forming a positive electrical connection, using a solder-type heat shrink electrical connector.

The Materials… One solder-type connector, two wires needing connection

The Tools… Wire Strippers and a hand-held butane torch

The Procedure… Insert wire in stripper, ½” from end

The Procedure… Strip off ½” of insulation on each wire

The Procedure… Overlap bare wires inside splicer within solder

The Procedure… Surround splicer with torch sleeve and heat

The Final product… Solder melts around wire and heat shrink seals

The Final product… A happy student!
