Warm Up It took 6 people 8 days to build a brick wall. The construction crew needed to build an identical wall but needs it done faster. If they add 2 people to the crew, how long will the brick wall take to build now?

Warm Up Practice: A group of 24 college students decided to climb Mt. McKinley. They bought enough food to last 20 days. If 16 additional students joined them, how many days will their food last? 2. A class with 12 children decided to go on an 8 days canoe trip. After they bought just enough food for the trip, 2 adults decided to go on the trip. If they didn’t buy any more food and an adult eats twice as much as a child, how many days will their food last?

Warm Up 3. Luke paints a car in 6 hours while Daniel paints the same car in 3 hours. If they work together, how long will it take them to paint the car?

Their crew of 7 painted 1/3 of the bridge in 45 days so they knew that at that pace, they would never finish the bridge on time. How many more painters should be hired to allow the crew to paint the rest of the bridge in the 42 remaining days?
