Theme of the Year 2011 Live by Faith & Grow Hebrews 10.38: Live by Faith 38 And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away

Perseverance and Faith Parable of the Persistent Widow Luke 18.1-8: Faith to save yourself The Faith of a Gentile Woman Matthew 15.21-28 She used her faith to save her daughter

How your faith can save others? Jesus Heals a Paralyzed Man. Luke 5.17 17 One day while Jesus was teaching, some Pharisees and teachers of religious law were sitting nearby. (It seemed that these men showed up from every village in all Galilee and Judea, as well as from Jerusalem.) And the Lord’s healing power was strongly with Jesus.

Luke 5.18-20 – There is always a way to reach Jesus   18 Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a sleeping mat. They tried to take him inside to Jesus, 19 but they couldn’t reach him because of the crowd. So they went up to the roof and took off some tiles. Then they lowered the sick man on his mat down into the crowd, right in front of Jesus. 20 Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the man, “Young man, your sins are forgiven.”

How to reach Jesus?

Not everyone will agree... 21 But the Pharisees and teachers of religious law said to themselves, “Who does he think he is? That’s blasphemy! Only God can forgive sins!”   24 So I will prove to you that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins.” Then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!” 25 And immediately, as everyone watched, the man jumped up, picked up his mat, and went home praising God. 26 Everyone was gripped with great wonder and awe, and they praised God, exclaiming, “We have seen amazing things today!”

Caleb decided to be different Numbers 13.27. This was their report to Moses: “We entered the land you sent us to explore, and it is indeed a bountiful country—a land flowing with milk and honey. Here is the kind of fruit it produces. 28 But the people living there are powerful, and their towns are large and fortified. We even saw giants there, the descendants of Anak! 29 The Amalekites live in the Negev, and the Hittites, Jebusites, and Amorites live in the hill country. The Canaanites live along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea and along the Jordan Valley.”    30 But Caleb tried to quiet the people as they stood before Moses. “Let’s go at once to take the land,” he said. “We can certainly conquer it!”

What we learned ? Faith means determination Your faith can save others, member of your family, friends, colleagues There is always a way for your blessing Not everyone will agree about your faith Jesus, Levi, Caleb decided to be different Your are unique and God is ready to support you on your study, work, business, marriage
