Annual Meeting Plan  Description of achievements within thematic workpackages  Linkages to other initiatives  Progress on user scenarios  Definition of final objectives

Annual Meeting Plan

Space Weather Solid Earth dynamics Ocean observations Biodiversity Carbon observations The main goal of the workshop was to establish the GEOSS Common Infrastructure (GCI) as part of the COOPEUS interoperability framework. The workshop aimed at evaluating usability and suitability of the GEOSS Components and Services Registry (CSR) as a tool for documenting COOPEUS infrastructure capabilities and to foster the overall use of the GCI by getting data managers of the COOPEUS research infrastructure (RIs) initiatives involved.

This interim report contains a wealth of information relevant to the future of this CRA. The Theme Program Offices (TPOs) encourage Belmont Forum and IGFA members to consider the four initial recommendations, which can be found beginning on page 21 of the interim report. These recommendations are: Establishing e-Infrastructure Community Social Elements and Coordination Creating Working Groups and Training Activities Active Data Management and Stewardship Principles Providing Support for the Development of Case Studies and Exemplars Based on these recommendations, and given the rapidly changing nature of this field, the Belmont Forum may agree to implement new actions under the existing CRA beginning in Main Features of the Report
