The purpose of national parks is to preserve a country's unique landscape, wildlife, and cultural heritage for the benefit of present and future generations, and to serve as resources for science, education, recreation, and enlightenment. Purpose

Source Kenting National Park was Taiwan's first national park. In 1977, for the purpose of alleviating environmental damage caused by farming and building in Kenting area, the ecosystem must be taken into consideration during construction practices; plans should be made to establish a national park in Kenting area.

Range Situated on Taiwan's southernmost Hengchun Peninsula, Kenting National Park faces the Pacific Ocean on the east, the Taiwan Strait on the west, and the Bashi Channel on the south.

Marine Life Of the six national parks in Taiwan, Kenting National Park is the only one that encompasses coastal waters. Due to a suitable annual water temperature and clear, sediment-free waters, the park is home to a wide variety of life forms. Have Typical marine life.
