European Union EU. The economic association of 27 European countries which seek to create a unified, barrier-free market for products and services throughout the continent, as well as a common currency. The name for the money that has replaced national (individual) currencies in several European countries. 17 countries use the Euro.

English Channel (Eurotunnel) The English Channel is a part of the Atlantic Ocean, and it separates the island of Britain from northern France and joins the North Sea to the Atlantic Ocean. It is today one of the busiest shipping lanes on the planet. It's approximately 350 miles long, and at its narrowest in the Strait of Dover.

The Channel Tunnel comprises 3 tunnels; two Running Tunnels and a smaller Service Tunnel It takes a total of 35 minutes to travel across the Channel Tunnel, from terminal to terminal.
