Where did the Shoshone Indians live The Shoshone Indians lived in many places. The Northern Shoshone Indians lived in Eastern Ohio, Western Wyoming and Northern Utah. The Eastern Shoshone Indians lived in Wyoming, Northern Colorado, Montana. The Western Shoshone Indians lived in Oregon, Western Idaho, and ranged from Central Ohio, Northwestern Ohio, and Central Nevada.

The Shoshone Indians Religion The Shoshone Indians had 2 beliefs. The first one was having supernatural power and personal success from the world of spirits. Number two was designed from the wealth of the community and nature to ward of disasters.

Their houses Their houses were made out of different types of buffalo skin and sticks. They were different shapes and sizes. They were called hide houses because if a buffalo or another big animal came it would be easier to hide in.

How they lived They went to school, they would play with each other in the class room. They played a ball game called shiny and they did not have as much as we did.

What did they eat They ate berries, roots, nuts, buffalo, small animals and fish.

They used the buffalo horns for weapons, cups and spears. They used the hides for tepees and coverings. They used the bones also for weapons. Tools

Hunting Before they had horses they had hunted rabbits, fish and other small animals. After they had horses they hunted buffalo and other big animals.
