Enquadramento do projeto IPSentinel Copernicus Program European program for Earth observation, established by the European Commission (EU) under the Regulation 377/2014 and with the technical support of the European Space Agency (ESA) Objective: Delivering services that enable timely access to data and accurate and reliable information on the environment, civil protection and security Each Member State is responsible for the development and implementation of technological infrastructure aimed at the exploitation of the Sentinels Data IPSentinel Sponsored by the General Directorate of Sea Policy (DGPM) Funded by EEA Grants program Partnership DTG and IPMA

IPSentinel Objectives Implementation of the Copernicus program policies Implementation and coordination of a technological infrastructure for storage and dissemination of Sentinel satellites images – Portuguese National Mirror Promote the use of data from Sentinel missions in national territory by the Public Administration and Private Entities Open and free Sentinel Satellite images Sentinel-1A Sentinel-2A

It provides: Information and documentation about European Copernicus program Documentation, training and events within the Earth Observation area Restricted area to the Earth Observation working Group Área restrita ao Grupo de Trabalho de Observação da Terra Acess to the IPSentinel infrastructure Derivated Products and Services based on satellite imagery (European and national) Copernicus.PT website will be the dissemination platform and access point for the Earth Observation community.
