Colons: When and How to Use Them (grammatically, not anatomically)

When to use a colon A colon means “note what follows.”

INCORRECT: “At the amusement park we rode: the tea cups, the ferris wheel, and the MindEraser.” CORRECT: “At the amusement park we rode the tea cups, the ferris wheel, and the MindEraser.”
