+ Autobiography Slide Theodore Suess Geisel, known affectionately as “Dr. Suess” (USA, b ) is the widely known for his children’s books, and the poetic meter he writes the most popular “How the Grinch stole Christmas” and “Cat in the Hat”. Many of his beloved books have been directed into feature films and animated cartoon specials that include How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), The Cat in the Hat (2003), Horton Hear a Who (2008) and The Lorax (2012). His Children’s books have also been the subject of great debate with others stating that his books “Yertle the Turtle”, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, and “The Lorax” contain social and political themes that the author intentionally put in his books. He was awarded two Academy Awards, two Emmys, a Peabody and a Pulitzer.
