Steep bank slopes- fenced off for public safely, concrete lined channel Roads on top of both banks within feet of sloped bank of stream Dense urban single-family dwellings Floods fairly often due to flow, ice jams, & backwater effects from the Buffalo River City of Buffalo, NY project Pool-riffle-pool stream, less than 1% slope
