Growth of Scheme Increased applications from 951 to 1517 in % The number of winners in 2012 stands at % Green Flag Community Award Winners more than doubled from 73 to 175. Increased the number of volunteer judges by more than 250 – to over 800

Developments and Innovation A new group application process for 20 Local Authorities with multiples sites taking part in the scheme New training courses for judges Mystery shopper programme Worked with partners to introduce the scheme to Germany, Australia and New Zealand

Future funding We have worked hard to keep expenditure at the lowest level possible while ensuring a quality service is maintained Application fees will need to increase for the Green Flag Award The Community Award is required to be free to enter
