Convicts This video talks about William Cuffay’s life. The first fleet arrived in people came to the island of Australia. BackAborigines William Cuffay was born at the Naval base in Chatham, Kent, in Cuffay worked as a tailor for over 30 years, but he was sacked in when he joined a tailor’s union and went on strike.

Aborigines Australia was known as Terra Nullius which meant no man’s land. This was because there were no white people living on the island.
