Goals of the Art in Process Project Gain knowledge of Winslow Homer’s art and his role in Maine and American art history Understand, experience, and reflect upon the creative process Create works of art on the theme of “a sense of place” and inspired by Homer? [including art- making skills] View the Portland Museum of Art (PMA) as a cultural center, gain information about careers in the arts, and have increased awareness of and participation in the arts community in Maine
