Octopot Gro Sleeve ® Benefits How is a Gro Sleeve® different than other fabric pots or grow bags? Octopot’s Gro Sleeve is made from woven fiber instead of felt like non-woven fiber used by other fabric grow bag manufacturers. Octopot’s woven fiber does not wick water and stays dry preventing the growth of molds and algae. Octopot’s Gro Sleeve is constructed and designed to be open on the bottom so plant roots have unrestricted access to the Hydro Reservoir where they develop a secondary hydroponic root zone. Using Octopot Grow Systems instead of fabric pots protects plant roots from growing into the ground where they can be exposed to soil borne diseases or toxic chemicals.
