At home Many household appliances contain an computer system to do their control functions. (They all contain a input, process and output device) Some examples of computer systems in the home are: Washing machine Central heating system Microwave Dishwasher Burglar alarm Fire alarm system

At work Computer systems have been used in almost all jobs to be completed more efficiently. They enable the business to make professional looking business documents, financial reports and communication. It also means that people can access work from home. People that work in a office rely on computer systems a lot to do their job effectively.

At school School network enables people to log into any computer in the school and access files. Library systems are used to let people find, borrow and return books. School used for communication between students and staff. Electronic registers. Helped to work out finances.

At the hospital Diagnostics such as x-rays, CAT scanners, MRI scanners blood analysis. Treatment such as IV machines, radiotherapy machines. Monitoring such as blood pressure machines and heart monitors. Computer systems are used to organise. For example appointment bookings, record keeping and stock control.

In the military The logistics are handled by computer systems where items are tracked by technologies such as barcodes and RFID devices. Used to make smarter and more accurate weapons. Command and control requires a very reliable, tough and secure computer systems Use for connections.

Problems with using computers When the Tesco's website was hit by technical problems after the bank updated its computer systems, some customers are still unable to access their cash online. When Vodafone's mobile network was disrupted, several hundred thousand customers had lost voice, text and internet access.

Future of computers in the world Us in the modern world are very reliant on computer systems for many things such as communication, organisation, entrainment and much more. I think that as computer systems improve people will be relying on them even more than basic compute systems will be very advanced.
