§Be positive! Show belief in his/her abilities and agree realistic targets for success in each subject. §Be a part of his/her journey through school. Know the key dates and key events. Talk regularly and meaningfully with your child. Keep tabs on how he/she is spending his/her time. §Avoid the temptation to nag! Be supportive in any way you can: help, advice, finding time for him/her to work, helping to create an environment at home that is conducive to effective study.

Know the Important Dates and Events §If you are aware of the important dates and events you can plan your own time better to provide support and be more sensitive to your child’s needs during crucial times. §You are also in a better position to ensure that time is spend effectively, balancing between working and relaxing.
