‘’It is the practice of selling goods and services and carrying on other business activities via computer, especially over Internet.’’ ‘’A company that uses the internet to carry out its business activities or sell its products and services.’’

E-BUSINESS E-COMMERCE  E-business is the super set of e-commerce.  It is a broader term.  It includes marketing, procurement of raw material, customer education.  It is bring & retain customers and educate them online.  E-commerce is subset of e- business.  It is a narrower term.  It is completed over computer- meditated network that involves transfer of ownership.  It is to sell online.

E-BUSINESSE-COMMERCE  It covers internal processes such as production, inventory management.  It can work for any business it involves the whole business cycle from production, procurement, marketing.  These strategies are more complex as focuses on internal processes.  It bears high risk of failure.  It is a process covering outward processes that touches customers, suppliers.  It branches into two major parts: online purchasing and online shopping.  These strategies are part of e- business strategy.  It bears comparatively low risk.

 Amazon.com, inc. is an online retailer in North india and internationally.  It deals in various products like such as clothing, electronics, groceries and many more.  It manufactures and sells the kindle e-reader.  They focus on selection, price and convenience.

 Dell Inc. is an American privately owned multinationalcomputer technology company based in Round Rock, Texas United States.  Michael Dell, the founder of the company is one of the largest technological corporations in the world, employing more than 103,300 people worldwide.  Dell sells personal computers (PCs), servers, data storage devices, software, computer peripherals, HDTVs, cameras, printers, MP3 players etc.  The company is innovative in supply chain and B2B services.

Ebay inc. And its subsidaries provides online marketplaces for the sale of goods and services, online communication and payments and online offerings or bidding to buyer and seller all over the world.

Abebooks is an online marketplace for books. It offers more than 11 millions for new, used and out of print books for sale through its website from thousand booksellers around the world.

American Eagle Outfitters, Incis operating as a retailer that engages in design, marketing and sale of clothing,accessories and personal care products in the United States and Canada. The company offers jeans and graphic and clothing essentials such as accessories,footwear, to intimates collection. In addition, it offers its products through its websites, including ae.com, aerie.com, martinandosa.com and 77kids.com.

It is one of the world’”s largest speciality retailer s, with approx 3100 stores its products includes wardrobe basics such as denim, t-shirts, fashion apparels and accessories and many more.
