EUCW is a non-governmental umbrella organization, concerned with the advocacy of child`s rights, interests and child welfare in Estonia. The membership of the EUCW comprises 35 local societies for child welfare The EUCW is a politically ideologically and religiously independent democratic, voluntary organization fulfilling its objectives through members and with the support of donors and foundations at national as well as international level Estonian Union Child Welfare

Child in the Family healthy development of children is crucial for the future well-being of any society family fulfils an essential role in creating a healthy and safe environment for the development of children

Goals: To shape public values in order to prioritise family in the society To represent new ideas to provide support for children and their families To draw attention to the problems of children and families and to take into consideration multiple proposals of members The promote the basic principle is that a family is the most important for the existence and growing up of a child Child in the family

Service providers are local societies The services are provided to families within the community Our organisation or local government shall pay for the services The duties are delegated to the societies by administrative contracts (Social) services for families

How we empower our service providers? We offer them: education programmes supervision we assess the services (it contains qualitative and quantitative indicators) we analyse the influence of the services

(Social) services for families- next step our local societies make preparations for co- operation with local governments the aim is to provide services to the families and children through co-operation contracting out is the form of doing all those things local government buys this kind of services from our local societies we use administrative contracts to delegate the providing of services to the local societies
