Google Scholar Scholarly literature Many disciplines and sources: –peer-reviewed publications Journal and conference proceedings –Theses –Books Sources of literature: academic publishers, professional societies, universities and other scholarly organizations.

Google Scholar Ranking Sorting results –Weighs the full text of each article, the author, the publication in which the article appears, and how often the piece has been cited in other scholarly literature. –The most relevant results will always appear on the first page. Source: Google Scholar

Google Scholar Google’s team works with publishers and index publications from all research disciplines. Libraries that have holdings listed in OCLC's Open WorldCat can participate in Google’s Library Links program. –Connects users to nearby libraries holding certain book(s). –Viewing holding libraries is achieved through clicking on the link “Library Search”
