“Choose Humility”

Oh, Lord, It’s Hard To Be Humble Oh Lord it's hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way. I can't wait to look in the mirror cause I get better looking each day.

To know me is to love me I must be a heck of a man. Oh Lord it's hard to be humble but I'm doing the best that I can.

“That demon, pride was born with us, and it will not die one moment before us.”

Proverbs 3:34 God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.

Seeing yourself as you really are – nothing more and nothing less.

Humility is Christ-like Matthew 11: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Philippians 2:8 And being found in appear- ance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death — even death on a cross!

Why does God resist the proud?

How do I grow in humility?

We see ourselves as God sees us

Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

These are my strengths. These are my weaknesses.

We see ourselves as others see us
