Presentation transcript:

Clay with Mrs Mallows Today we made Vincent Van Gogh inspired clay tiles. We began our lesson by rolling out clay into a large rectangle. We had to remember to use 2 rulers in an H shape to keep the clay the same thickness all the way across.

After that, we rolled out a long thin worm of clay which we made into a stem. We then created some additional worm pieces which we shaped into petals. We had to use silt (watered down clay) to stick the clay pieces onto the rectangle tile!

Mrs Mallows created this example Vincent Van Gogh Sunflower piece for us to copy.

These are some of our final clay pieces.

Have another look on this power point in a couple of weeks, to see our painted and fired clay tiles!
