Chichen Itza  Located in Mexico.  Remains of the Mayan civilization who lived around AD.  The site is made of hundreds of paved roads and dozens of stone buildings.

Christ The Redeemer Quick Facts:  Located in Tijuca Forest National Park in Rio de Jeniero, Brazil.  It stands atop Corcovado mountain.  The tallest part stands at 130 feet tall (30m)  The statue is made of reinforced concrete and soapstone.  Construction took place from 1922 to 1931.

Colosseum Quick Facts:  Located in the center of Rome, Italy.  It is an elliptical amphitheater and is the largest ever built in/by the Roman empire.  Construction started in 72 AD and was completed in 80 AD.  When opened it could seat 50,000 people.

The Great Wall of China Quick Facts:  Has been around for nearly 2500 years.  The wall is around 3,460km long.  It is the longest man made structure in the world.  The highest point of the wall is in Beijing, at Heita mountain reaching 5,033 feet.

Machu Picchu Quick Facts:  It is over 3,000 meters high.  Believed to have been made in 1400.

Petra Quick Facts:  Located in Jordan.  Petra means ''rock'' in Greek and Arabic.  It's said to have been around from before 106 AD.  Being made mostly of red sandstone, and with it's beauty and age, Petra earned the title ''A rose red city half as old as time'‘.

Taj Mahal Quick Facts:  Located in India.  Construction began in 1632 and it was completed in  20,000 workers helped in the build.

The Great Pyramid of Giza Quick Facts:  It is located in what is now El Giza, Egypt.  The pyramid is estimated to have some 2,300,000 stone blocks.

Amazon River and Rainforest Quick Facts:  The second longest river in the world.  The Amazon and its tributaries flow through the countries of Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, and Brazil before emptying into the Atlantic Ocean  6, 437 kilometers long.  The rainforest produces 20% of the world’s oxygen.  Over 500 mammals, 175 lizards and over 300 other reptiles species, and one third of the world's birds live in the Amazon Rainforest.

Jeju Island Quick Facts:  Jejudo is a volcanic island, 130 km from the southern coast of Korea. The largest island and smallest province in Korea, the island has a surface area of 1,846 sqkm.  A central feature of Jeju is Hallasan, the tallest mountain in South Korea and a dormant volcano, which rises 1,950 m above sea level. 360 satellite volcanoes are around the main volcano.

Halong Bay Quick facts  Located in Northern Vietnam  There are nearly 2000 tall, rocky islands located in the bay Ha Long Bay means ‘Bay of the Descending Dragons’ and mythology says the islands were formed from the jewels and jade dropped from the mouth of dragons sent by the gods.

Iguaza Falls Quick facts  The waterfall system consists of 275 falls along 2.7 kilometers (1.67 miles) of the Iguazu River.  Some of the individual falls are up to 82 meters (269 ft) in height.

Table Mountain Quick facts  Table Mountain is named after its flat top.  Its peak stands 1,086m above sea level and overlooks the stunning Cape Town and Table Bay areas in South Africa.  Clouds often cover Table Mountain. These clouds sit flat over the mountain top forming the commonly called ‘table cloth’.
