The Science Inside all fizzy drinks is carbon dioxide gas. This is pumped into the bottle at high pressure and remains suspended in the liquid at high pressure until you open the bottle then the gas is able to form bubbles.

The reason bubbles can’t form when the drink is under pressure is because water molecules strongly attract each other and they surround each bubble of carbon dioxide gas in the drink this is known as surface tension. In order to form a new bubble, or even to expand a bubble that has already formed, water molecules must be pushed away from each other. Energy is required to break this "surface tension."

When you drop the sweat into the soda, chemicals on the surface of it help break the surface tension. This means the water does not surround the bubbles as tightly so it is easier for them to form and get bigger. Also each sweat has tiny pits all over the surface. These tiny pits are perfect for letting carbon dioxide bubbles to form.

When lots of bubbles form really quickly it literally pushes all of the liquid up and out of the bottle in an incredible soda blast.
