What is a “White Line” according to Jared’s song? “Beyond the Gray” – A song related to the “white line” along the highway that keeps your car on track when the fog is too thick to find your way. Jared relates that line to the line we all have in life found in our friends, family, faith and whatever else it is that keeps us moving in the right direction when life’s obstacles make it seem like a fog, unable to see through to a better tomorrow.

We challenge each of you to find a way to thank or show appreciation towards the person you consider your “white line.” Feel free to give it to that person! You can: Write them a letter Make an inspirational note and post it to their locker or classroom door! Make them a card and deliver it to them Write them a poem Any other ways you think of to show you care…. People who could be your white line:  Parent  Grandparent  Friend  Teacher  Counselor  Relatives or family friends  Etc.

Discussion Topics for Homerooms:  Who is your white line and why? What did you create for them?  What did you like most about the presentation? Why?  What was most surprising about his music or presentation?  Which song did you connect the most with?  How can we use the messages in Jared’s songs to be better people? How can we use it to create a better school environment?
