Presentation transcript:

The food is very important to give us energy, healthy and to grow. how can our body digest the food? and what we mean by digestion? Digestion is the process of turning the food you eat in to the energy you need It means breaking down the large food into small so the blood can absorb it to feed all organs and cells.

The system that is responsible for digestion is digestive system witch is made up of: 1-mouth 2-esophagus 3-stomach 4-Small intestine 5-large intestine

The digestion starts here and the mouth have: the teeth: help to break the food in to small parts that we can swallow Tongue: mixes the food with saliva Salivary glands: produced saliva witch is digestive juice to digest carbohydrates.

it is the tube that the food passes from the mouth to the stomach

the stomach produces juice to digest the food The movement of the muscular wall in the stomach mixes the food with juices after few hours food turn to liquid pass to small intestine

here different kinds of juices come from liver pancreas and the wall of small intestine to complete the digestion here. the wall of small intestine allows the blood to absorb the digestion

the food that the body doesn't need it while the food goes there then passes outside the body through anus While the food goes to anus some water absorbed here through the blood.
