God is Working Out His Plan Genesis 30:25-31:3

Genesis 1:31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.

Genesis 3:1 Did God really say, “You must not eat from any tree in the garden?”

Genesis 3:6... she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband... and he ate it.

Genesis 3:17 Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.

Genesis 4:8 Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.

Genesis 6:5-7 The LORD saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.

Genesis 6:5-7 The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. So the LORD said, “I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth.”

Genesis 6:8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.

Genesis 3:15 I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.

Genesis 12:1 The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you.

Genesis 12:2 “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.

Genesis 12:3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.

Genesis 18:18, 19 “Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him. For I have chosen him.”

Genesis 15:6 Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.

Genesis 26:4 I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed.

Genesis 28:13, 14 I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying. Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth,

Genesis 28:14 All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring.

Genesis 30:25 “Send me on my way so I can go back to my own homeland.”

Genesis 30:27 “Please stay. I have learned by divination that the Lord has blessed me because of you.”

Genesis 30:30 “The little you had before I came has increased greatly, and the Lord has blessed you wherever I have been.”

Genesis 30:30 Any goat in my possession that is not speckled or spotted, or any lamb that is not dark- colored, will be considered stolen.

Genesis 30:30 In this way the man grew exceedingly prosperous and came to own large flocks, and maidservants and menservants, and camels and donkeys.

Genesis 31:9 God has taken away your father’s livestock and has given them to me.

Lesson One God has a plan to deal with the problem of sin that we cannot deal with ourselves.

1 Peter 2:9-10 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God... Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God

Lesson Two God will fulfill the promises he makes to his people.

Matthew 28:20 “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Philippians 1:11 he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Galatians 4:4, 5 when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law

Lesson Three Our role is to trust God to do what he has promised.

Hebrews 11:13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance.

Hebrews 11:21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons, and worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff.
