Does the Peruvian government have the right to grant such actions? Last month the U.S. sent a military unit into a small region of the Andes Mts. in Peru. This particular region is inhabited by a secluded native tribe. With permission from the Peruvian government the native people were forcibly evacuated from the area because it had been found to be the site of huge deposits of uranium. The Nuclear Power Coalition in the U.S. had gained the right to search for uranium in this area after geological studies indicated the possibility of substantial deposits.
