Presentation transcript:

Chinese clothing has changed over time. Traditional Chinese clothing is called hanfu. There were different clothes for the rich people and the poor people. My report shows some of the shoes, clothes and hats that were worn by Chinese men and women.

Men’s shoes were made of black cotton and sometimes leather. Women’s shoes were bright and covered with silk.

The style of hanfu is long & loose, with belts and sashes. People also wore long shirts called changshan and dresses called qipao.

The Chinese were the first to use silk in making clothing. They sewed in many designs like dragons and flowers.

Hats were worn by men and hairpieces were worn by women. You could tell a lot about what a person did by the kind of hat they wore.

This ends my report on Historical Chinese Fashion.
