Task You will be learning about vertebrates and invertebrates and when you are done, you will be able to identify the difference between the two. You will learn about 5 different classes of vertebrates and 2 different classes of invertebrates. TASK

Step1 and 2 Step 1 & 2 Throughout the next couple of slides you will learn the difference between vertebrates and invertebrates. You will also learn about the five different classes of vertebrates, and the two different classes of invertebrates. You will watch a video clip and you will read descriptions about the different classes of animals. You may now begin.

Animal Kingdom Groups Animal kingdom groups Scientists divided the animal kingdom into two main groups. The first group has a backbone. This group is called vertebrates. The second group does not have a backbone. This group is called invertebrates.

5 Classes of Vertebrates Definition Animals that have a backbone 5 Classes of Vertebrates Mammals Birds Fish Reptiles Amphibians

Vertebrates vertebrates Mammals Birds Fish Reptiles Amphibians Click on each class of vertebrates. Read about that class and look at the pictures.

Some Classes of Invertebrates Definition Animals that do not have a backbone Some Classes of Invertebrates Arthropods Mollusks

Invertebrates Mollusks Arthropods Mollusks Click on each class of invertebrate. Read about that class and look at the pictures.

Step 3 Step 3 Now, let’s see how much you learned about vertebrates and invertebrates. Click on link below to play a game about vertebrates and invertebrates. Draw a line between matching items in each column. Play the game 5 times. Your goal is to score a 10 on the game. http://www.quia.com/cm/1130.html

Step 4 Step 4 ? Make sure your name and number is on your paper. 2. Turn it in to Mrs. Tiencken.
