The Invitation

#1. The Gate Jesus said, “Truly, I am the gate… whoever enters through me will be saved...I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”(John 10) Jesus said, “I am the way…” (John 14)

#2. The Altar of Sacrifice “He is the sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 John 2:2

#3. The Laver “But you were washed, you were set apart, you were accepted in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:11

#4. The Table (of Bread) Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35)

#5. The Lampstand Jesus spoke again and said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

#6. The Altar of Incense “An angel came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God.” (Rev. 8:3-5)

#7. The Ark of the Covenant “Mercy triumphs over judgment.” James 2:13 “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

Invitation “Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain…and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts cleansed from a guilty conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” (Hebrews 10:19-22)
