The Medical University is one of the biggest state medical university in Poland.  Faculty of Medicine with the Division of Dentistry  Faculty of Pharmacy  Faculty of Health Sciences with the Division of Nursing and Midwifery  Faculty of Biomedical Sciences and Postgraduate Training  Military Faculty of Medicine with the Division of Studies in English and the Division of Physiotherapy  5 teaching hospitals;  77 departments.  1600 employees, including 180 professors,180 associate professors, over 850 PhD academics  8500 students

Medical programs in English for foreign candidates were initiated in the academic year 2003/2004. Year by year the number of applicants interested to pursue medical education at the Medical of Lodz was growing. Only last year over 80 students of medical and dentistry programs have been graduated. Presently almost 300 students from such countries as USA, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, UK, Germany, Nigeria, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia are enrolled at the following programs: 4 year MD 6 year MD 5 year DMD

ERASMUS  Medical University joined Erasmus Program in  40 outgoing students in 2011  25 incoming students in 2011.
