Applied Research  Provides 1:1 match for any research with commercial potential  Two funding cycles per year  Proof-of-concept funding: $45,000 per year for up to two years  Accelerated funding: up to $300,000 for one to three years  53 percent award rate Solicitation Online: July 2, 2012 Application Deadline: August 22, 2012

Plant Science Provides both matched and non-matched funds for plant science research Basic Research provides non-matched funds up to $50,000 per year for one or two years Applied Research must have commercialization potential and requires 1:1 match Proof-of-Concept provides up to $50,000 per year for one or two years Accelerated provides up to $100,000 per year for one or two years 32 percent award rate Solicitation posted and applications due in late fall

Health Research Provides funding for basic research related to human health No match required Maximum of $45,000 per year for up to three years 26 percent award rate Solicitation posted and applications due in winter
