Spelling: How can I help at home?  Use some of the strategies we just practised at home  Limit the number of words to five a week to ensure success and enable deeper learning  Support your child learning spellings in context, e.g. in a given sentence, generating sentences for each word, saying a sentence which include the focused word  Talking about spelling and expectating the correct application in writing once a word has been learned.
