Salvation C.T. was saved in 1878 at the age of 18 when a visiting preacher at their home caught C.T. on his way to play cricket. His two brothers were also saved that same day.

In 1877, Edward Studd became deeply concerned about the spiritual welfare of his three sons.

STUDD BROTHERS

 The Lord in His goodness worked in his life and after a serious illness of his brother and his going to hear D.L. Moody the Lord met C.T. again and restored to him the joy of His salvation.

 C.T. went to China as a missionary.

 C.T. was one of the "Cambridge Seven" who offered themselves to Hudson Taylor for missionary service in the China Inland Mission and in February, 1885, sailed for China

Cambridge Seven

 C. T. Studd  Montagu Beauchamp  S. P. Smith  A. T. Polhill-Turner  D. E. Hoste  C. H. Polhill-Turner  W. W. Cassells

AT THE AGE OF 25………….  C.T. reached the age (25 years old) at which, according to his father's will, he was to inherit a large sum of money.

 C.T. sent £5000 to Mr. Moody,  £5000 to George Müller,  £15,000 pounds to support other worthy ministries,  £5,000 for George Holland's work with England's poor in Whitechapel.  £5,000 to Commissioner Booth Tucker for the Salvation Army in India What did CT Studd do with the money? ?

 Three years after arriving in China, In 1888 C.T. married a young Irish missionary from Ulster named Priscilla Livingstone Stewart.  four daughters  and two sons (who died in infancy) MARRIAGE

1894 after ten years in China, ill health forced Studd to return to England.

In 1900 Studd family went to South India where C.T. served as a pastor of a church in Ootacamund for six years

After their return home to England in 1906, C.T. was stirred by the need for missionary pioneer work in Central Africa.

Writings of C.T  Wrote several books  "The Chocolate Soldier“  "Christ's Etcetera's”

 He was a Christian who lived very simply.  He had no savings and lived in a bamboo hut.  Walls made of dried mud was a far cry from the mansion he was raised in.

 One of his daughters who spent most of her life in England had some bitterness against her father since he had given away his inheritance while in China.  Near his death, she came to Africa to visit him. Like any father, he wanted to do what he could for his child. He looked around his little hut to see if he might find something of value to leave with her, but his search was in vain.  Tears came as he turned to her. "I'm sorry. I have nothing to give you. I've given everything to God."

 With the Grace of God, C.T. Studd saw over 200 churches started while he was in Africa.  His influence went far beyond this great number of churches being started as his zeal and love for God was contagious.

Last days……  Leaving his wife and four daughters in England, C.T. sailed, contrary to medical advice, for the heart of Africa in 1910, where he continued to work until his death in  At the age of 70 he died.

 If Jesus Christ is God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him. C.T. STUDD
