Today’s Objectives:  I will be able to define, identify, and create the literary devices that are associated with Anglo-Saxon literature.  I will be able to define and read about epic poetry.

An Epic Hero  is a man of nobility or great importance  has character traits that reflect the important values of his society  performs courageous, and sometimes even superhuman, featstravels across dangerous lands to foreign nations  fights supernatural creatures in order to save a nation or group of people  delivers long, formal speeches
