Parts Pulley Wheel and axle Lever Ramp Wedge Inclined plane

Simple machines These are the things that are parts of simple machines Lever- a bar that is pushed or pulled to lift. Pulley-a wheel with a groove round it to take a rope used for lifting heavy things.

For term 2 Rooms are working on simple machines and we will have to make one. Room 8 has been on you tube and seen a couple of marble rolls.

Simple machines These are some pictures.

These are the 6 simple machines A ramp A wedge A wheel A pulley An inclined plane Lever

Lever- sea saw, hammer, crow bar. Inclined plane- ramp, slanted road, slide escalator. Wheel and axle –cars, roller skates. Screw- jar lids light bolds clamps Wedge –nail, fork, knife Pulley – crane, flag pole, clothesline.

These are simple machines Marble roll Milk bottle crusher

What simple machines are found within complex machines that make our lives easier.? A milk bottle and can crusher for recycling so we don’t have to crush them and hurt ourselves.?

What is a wheel A wheel is a thing that goes on a car or bus. These are parts of a wheel : A Clock has glass and wheel at the bottom. Microwave : buttons and a wheel at the bottom. Bike has wheels and chain sproket.

Some pulley’s Some pictures
