American Flag

Why is it important? The American flag stands for the United States of America. The 13 stripes represent the original 13 colonies. Each of the stars signifies one of the 50 states. The flag stands for freedom of our country.

The Bald Eagle

What does The Bald Eagle represent? The bald eagle was chosen June 20, 1782 as the emblem of the United States of America, because of its long life, great strength and majestic looks. It also represent FREEDOM

The White House

What person represents The White House? President Barack Obama lives in The White House. He makes sure that citizens obey laws. He is in charge of all armed forces. He makes agreements, called treaties, with other countries. He decides how America will act toward other countries and he represents our country here and around the world.

Statue of Liberty

What is the importance? There are many different interpretations of what the Statue of Liberty represents. For American immigrants it represents the hope of a new life, because it was the first sight they saw of the United States of America. For others, it represents the pursuit of freedom and liberty across the globe.

Liberty Bell

What does it represent? The Liberty Bell is located in Pennsylvania and is stands for freedom. Also. know as the Independence Hall Bell, it is believed that it was rung on July 8, 1776, to announce the signing of that very famous and important document, the Declaration of independence.

Lincoln Memorial

What is the importance? The Lincoln Memorial in Washington is a large statue of our 16th President Abraham Lincoln sitting. It represents his honor and the way he changed America.
