 Talented people, when performing at a high level, are so focused they are “in the zone.”  Many fail to achieve, not for lack of talent, but due to an inability to focus. 2 “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.  Focus is also essential for the Christian: Phil. 3:8-15a  Christians may become distracted:  Some persistent sin,  Cares of this world,  Neglect of spiritual things. 3
