Note: When considering this word in English, be careful with definitions – they might include things different than Biblical teaching. Also, some denominational sources define the word with a doctrinal slant.

The word is actually a transliteration (the conversion of a text from one language to another) The Bible clarifies what baptism actually is. And so will we!
